Temperature and humidity transmitters

The Vaisala HUMICAP® HMT120 and HMT130 transmitters are suitable for cleanrooms, museums, laboratories and data centers. Maintaining measurement traceability is easy due to field exchangeable intelligent measurement probes. These can be exchanged with minimal downtime and process disturbance. The humidity parameter options available are: relative humidity, dew point/frost point, wet bulb temperature, enthalpy, absolute humidity, mixing ratio, vapor pressure, and saturation vapor pressure.

The Vaisala HUMICAP® Humidity and Temperature Transmitters HMT120 and HMT130 incorporate the Vaisala HUMICAP® technology with humidity sensor HUMICAP® 180R. Two options are available: 2-wire loop-powered or 3-wire voltage output configurations.

The HMT120/130 are resistant to dust and most chemicals. The devices can be mounted outdoors using a Vaisala installation kit and the Vaisala Radiation Shield DTR502B

Note that the HMT360 will be discontinued during 2021. View the new HMT370EX, also designed for use in hazardous and explosive areas. The HMT370EX replaces the HMT360.

Vaisala HUMICAP® HMT360 wall mount transmitter is designed specifically for hazardous and explosive environments. The entire transmitter can be placed into zone 0. There are six different models depending on the probe:

• HMT361 for Wall Mounting

• HMT364 for High Pressure
• HMT365 for High Temperature
• HMT367 for High Humidities
• HMT368 for Pressurized Pipelines

Typical applications are include museums and archives, production and warehouse facilities, data centers, laboratories, and testing environments.

The HMW90 series measures relative humidity and temperature in indoor environments, where high accuracy, stability, and reliable operation are required. The HMW90 is a flexible product family with a variety of options and features, both analog and digital output models are available. The sensors are exceptionally easy to configuration, install, and adjust in the field. Calculated humidity parameters (Td, x, h, Tw, a, T-Td).

The HMW90 and TMW90 transmitters are available in two color options: standard white and black.

The HMDW80 series is versatile with transmitters for wall and duct mounting for measuring relative humidity and temperature in various building automation applications. These transmitters combine easy installation and reliable operation with a low requirement for maintenance. The HMDW80 Series has easy field configuration of wet-bulb, enthalpy and dew point outputs instead of RH in duct. There are IP65-classified transmitters for humid areas and sensors with a radiation shield for outdoor use. The series also includes temperature-only transmitters and transmitters with an optional display.

The duct mount transmitters are well suited to a variety of duct sizes, the outdoor transmitters can be mounted directly onto a wall or pole without any extra accessories, and the wall mount transmitters can be installed without the need to make holes in the transmitter enclosure.

A reliable basic outdoor humidity sensor for a pole or wall installation. Dew point, wet bulb and enthalpy outputs can be selected by dip switch instead of the default RH output.

The Humidity and Temperature Sensor Transmitter Series HMS80 are optimized for outdoor measurements HVAC. They feature an integrated solar radiation shield, which is a must for accurate humidity and temperature measurements in outdoor conditions. Both 2-wire HMS82 and 3-wire HMS83 versions are available.

Vaisala HUMICAP® Humidity and Temperature Transmitter Series HMDW110 is suitable for relative humidity, dew-point, enthalpy, wet-bulb temperature and temperature measurement in demanding HVAC applications. The series includes transmitters for duct mounting, IP65-classified wall transmitters, and outdoor transmitters with integrated radiation shields. The cost-efficient HMDW110 series transmitters are equipped with trusted HUMICAP® 180R sensors. The sensor’s superior long-term stability minimizes maintenance needs throughout the transmitter’s lifetime. The most popular control parameters in free cooling – dew point temperature, wet-bulb temperature, and enthalpy – are available as output parameters. The transmitters come with a calibration certificate.

The HMD110 and HMW110 transmitters can be ordered with a catalytic HUMICAP® sensor 180V. The catalytic sensor improves stability especially in hydrogen peroxide sterilized environments where repeated condensation is expected. Transmitters can be installed into difficult-to-reach locations, while measurement data can be read from a more convenient spot.

The sturdy and reliable duct mounted Vaisala HUMICAP® Humidity Transmitter Series HMD60 is designed for monitoring relative humidity in demanding HVAC and light industrial applications. The combination of high accuracy, stability and reliable operation makes this product series an ideal choice for demanding applications.

The HMD60 and HMD65 have been certified by the BACnet Testing Laboratories (BTL) with the BACnet Conformance Certificate.

The models in this series are:

• HMD62 for measuring humidity and temperature
• TMD62 for measuring temperature only
• HMD65 for measuring humidity and temperature with BACnet and Modbus protocols
• HMD60 for measuring humidity and temperature with a short probe, fully configurable
• TMD60 for measuring temperature only with a short probe, fully configurable

All these duct-mounted transmitters are robust and reliable and they are resistant to chemicals and dust. The all-metal body is IP66-rated.

All common humidity parameters are available in the HMD60: dew point, wet bulb, enthalpy, absolute humidity, mixing ratio. All these parameters can be selected using DIP-switches.

Field adjustment is easy with the high precision trimmers or using the Vaisala HUMICAP® Hand-held Humidity and Temperature Meter HM70. The transmitter is also configurable using the Vaisala Insight PC Software.

The combination of high accuracy, stability and reliable operation makes this product series an ideal choice for museums, cleanrooms and laboratories to mention a few examples. The products come with a traceable calibration certificate.

Measuring CO₂ is the most economical way to monitor both indoor air quality (IAQ) and human presence with one sensor. Inadequate ventilation results in elevated CO₂ levels, causing drowsiness and decreased productivity. Good indoor air quality can be achieved based on occupancy levels. Energy is saved by minimizing the use of unconditioned outside air.

For accurate and stable HVAC measurements, the wall-mounted Vaisala CARBOCAP^® Carbon Dioxide and Temperature Transmitter Series GMW80 provides the best stability and reliability on the market, up to 15 years. These indoor air quality sensors designed for standard, demand-controlled ventilation applications. The GMW80 is ideal for buildings occupied 24/7.

The CO₂ measurement of the GMW80 series is based on a second-generation CARBOCAP^® sensor, which uses a novel, microglow light source instead of an incandescent light bulb for a longer trouble-free lifetime. The internal reference in the CO₂ sensor guarantees the best stability and operation also in constantly occupied buildings without frequent readjustments. The CARBOCAP^® sensors give correct CO₂ measurements immediately when powered on as they have a built-in reference measurement. Proper operation can be verified immediately after snapping on the device cover.

The wall-mounted Vaisala GMW90 Series CARBOCAP® Carbon Dioxide, Temperature and Humidity Transmitters are especially suited for green building projects and demand controlled ventilation. The devices measure carbon dioxide and temperature and have an option for an additional humidity measurement. The instruments come with a calibration certificate that meets traceability and compliance requirements. Traceability is easily maintained with field-exchangeable intelligent measurement modules. The transmitter can be blended into the interior design of the space where it is installed using the optional decorative cover.
